Pyrenees Triathlon Training Camp 2019
Train with DeZeiner Fitness at our Pyrenees camp
03/04 May – 11 May 2019
A triathlon camp with Pyrenean Tour de France Cols. Pyrenees Multisport where the camp is based allows us to ride in the Pyrenean foothills, the Haute Pyrenees and it gives us the choice to do some time trialling on the flatter roads of the Garonne valley.
The area around Luscan where Pyrenees Multisport is based also lends itself to some fine trail running with a 6.5km and 10km route already marked out and options to go further into the hills and explore the back country.
The lake we use for swimming in situated at around 700m above sea level and is immensely picturesque. Thanks to Pyrenees Multisport’s setup we can either get a lift there or combine it with a ride while we have our swim kit transported to the lake.
This camp is aimed at standard to middle distance athletes in terms of most of the distances covered but also open to long distance athletes as there is opportunity to add in mileage. We had a Celtman athlete training with us in 2017.
The camp’s unique feature is the BIG day which will include an Haute Category climb of that year’s Tour de France. In 2017 this was the Port de Bales, in 2018 we did the Tourmalet … let’s see what 2019 brings. If you don’t fancy scaling the highest climbs of the Pyrenees then we find an alternative for you on that day or those days.
There will be lots of flexibility and means to suit everyone. Also the final plan for the 2019 camp will be put together when we know who has signed up and what their abilities and aims are.
If your main event is in June, July or August then this will suit you perfectly. Likewise if you fancy a triathlon camp on quiet roads in stunning scenery with great cycling, running and swimming.

2017 at the De Zeiner Fitness Triathlon Camp
The camp had a very relaxed feel, with great accommodation and food making it feel like home from home. The training was mainly bike focussed but good coaching sessions on run technique, transition practice and a couple of open water swims as well as stretching and mobility each morning.Carolyn Dyson
The camp had a lovely, friendly vibe, beautiful setting, catered flexibly to a variety of levels and I learned a lot from the informal evening coaching chats. The cycling is fantastic; as tough as you want it, on scenic and mostly quiet roads. Nice running and o/w swimming places too.Alan Paxton
A great weeks training with fun and hard work. Highlights for me, challenging climbs, fabulous lake to swim and amazing hospitality at Pyreneen MultisportsLynn Hanley
Karl’s camp was awesome ! The cycling was varied, on the roads of the tour de France and up some famous cols. We swam in a beautiful and somewhat remote mountain lake, and had great run coaching sessions as well, on very lovely roads and trails. The accommodation and food were top quality as well. Despite having somewhat varied abilities and ambitions, the group worked really well, I thought. We had a lot of fun during- and “après”- training… and well it’s in France, the best country in the world what more can I say 😉Peggy Seriès
